Storytelling has been a part of the human experience since our beginnings.

It's the very human art of capturing thoughts, concepts and events in the form of narrative. Sometimes stories are locked purely in fact, other times embellishments and metaphors are used to bring out the deeper truth and greater understanding.

UNAAWA’s Human Rights Committee, in partnership with WA Shipwrecks Museum, welcome you to join us for 'The Art of Storytelling', an exhibition presenting art, speakers, as well as other events and activities.

Storytelling is one of the oldest and most important human traditions. It is also universal. Stories facilitate the transfer of knowledge, culture and identity from generation to generation. The exhibition will focus on stories about United Nations International Human Rights Day, our Traditional Owners, Australian cultural diversity and endangered Australian animals.

The exhibition will be open from December 23 — March 1 (9.30am-5:00pm daily) at WA Shipwrecks Museum, Fremantle.
